  on kazakhstan's open spaces it is possible to meet about 500 kinds of birds, 178 kinds of animals, 49 kinds of reptiles, 12 kinds of amphibians, and in the rivers and lakes - 107 kinds of fishes. a variety of invertebrate animals here is even more: not only there are more then thousand kinds of insects. mollusks, worms, spiders, crustaceous and others living in kazakhstan are not less than 30 thousand kinds. but i think, the horse can be and should be made a kazakhstani brand. also typical animals of kazakhstan  are snow leopard, falcon and koulan  .in kazakhstan people would always respect leopard as the strongest and the proudest animal.  deserts  of kazakhstan are inhabited by gigantic lizards, snakes and spiders. there are birds, marmots, ustyurt wild sheep, turkestan lynx, tien shan brown bear, flamingo and swans in kazakhstan. the red book of the republic includes 125 species and subspecies of vertebrate animals, 96 species of invertebrate animals. i think that people of kazakhstan also care about animals.” so currently there are 10 reserves, 8 national parks, 2 natural reservations and 3 natural parks operating in kazakhstan.
