1.  "harrods" is one of  the most famous department stores in the world. 2. it is located in knightsbridge, london. 3. it has got around 300 departments and employs over 5000 staff.  4. more than 35 000 people visit harrods every day.  5. there are a lot of bars and  restaurants there.  6.    there is also a bank, a dry cleaner's, a travel agent's, a hair and beauty salon and many more.  7. harrods was a small grocer's shop in 1849.  8. charles henry harrod run the shop and later his son took over. 9. the shop survived a fire and two world wars. 10.now harrods has its branches all around the world.  11. the store has a motto "all things, for all people, everywhere".  12. there are sales every january and july.  13. at that period of time  some people even sleep outside the store to be the first when the doors open. 14. harrods is also well known for its doormen, who open the doors to the visitors and say "welcome to harrods! " 15. all in all, harrods is a fantastic place to visit.
