London is the capital of the united kingdom of great britain and northern ireland. the  big ben one of london’s most  famous landmarks.  westminster abbey was built by king edward in 1065. the coronation of all british kings and queens takes place here.  the most famous english people are buried here.the tower of london throughout its 900-year history was a palace, a fortress, a prison, a place of execution, and even a zoo.st paul’s cathedral  was built after the great fire of 1666 by sir christopher wren, a brilliant mathematician and engineer, who designed many famous buildings in london.hide park is royal park with an area of 1.4 km2 in central london.the history of buckingham palace began in 1702 when the duke of buckingham built it  as his london home.  now it's a home of the queen elizabeth ii.
