To make the comparative and superlative of <...>, you <...>

To make the comparative and superlative of one-syllable adjectives ending in -e, you add -r, -st.

Перевод: Чтобы образовать сравнительную и превосходную степень односложных прилагательных, оканчивающихся на -e, вы добавляете -r, -st.Примеры: nice — nicer — the nicest (несмотря на то, что в слове две гласные, оно содержит дифтонг [ai] в открытом слоге и считается односложным); late — later — the latest (дифтонг [ei] => слово так же считается односложным).

To make the comparative and superlative of other one-syllable adjectives, you add -er, -est.

Перевод: Чтобы образовать сравнительную и превосходную степень остальных односложных прилагательных, вы добавляете -er, -est. Примеры: fast — faster — the fastest; old — older — the oldest.

To make the comparative and superlative of two-syllable adjectives ending in -y, you change y to i and add -er, -est.

Перевод: Чтобы образовать сравнительную и превосходную степень двусложных прилагательных, оканчивающихся на -y, вы меняете y на i и добавляете -er, -est.Примеры: easy — easier — the easiest; happy — happier — the happiest.

To make the comparative and superlative of other two-syllable adjectives, you put more and most in front.

Перевод: Чтобы образовать сравнительную и превосходную степень остальных двусложных прилагательных, вы ставите перед ними more и most. Примеры: distant — more distant — the most distant; careful — more careful — the most careful (несмотря на то, что в слове три гласные, оно содержит дифтонг [eə]  в открытом слоге и считается двусложным).

To make the comparative and superlative of longer adjectives, you put more and most in front.

Перевод: Чтобы образовать сравнительную и превосходную степень более длинных прилагательных, вы ставите перед ними more и most. Примеры: beautiful — more beautiful — the most beautiful; intelligent — more intelligent — the most intelligent.

  london is the capital of great britain. it is the biggest and the most beautiful english city. more than 9 million people live in it. london is a very interesting city, there you can find some best theatres, cinemas, museums. most of the streets in this city arent wide. 

  there are many interesting places in london: oxford street (london^s main shopping centre), hyde park (the largest park in london), trafalgar square (the most beautiful place in london, it is in the centre of london).

  i want to go to london, and i hope my dream will come true.
