Krasnodar is a big city with a population of more than 1 million people, and the number of inhabitants is constantly growing. What attracts people here is the southern climate. Many new buildings and even new neighborhoods are being built in the city.

There are many attractions in Krasnodar, such as the Shukhov Tower, the Krasnodar Circus, St. Catherine's Cathedral or the beautiful Philharmonic Concert Hall. The most popular place is Krasnaya Street.

Initially, this city was founded by the Black Sea Cossacks as a military fortress.

For the first 120 years of its existence — until 1920 - the city was called "Ekaterinodar", in honor of Catherine II. So the Kuban Cossacks thanked the Empress Catherine II for the land granted to them for settlement.

In Krasnodar, there is the Kuban Cossack Choir, which is the only folk art collective in the Russian Federation, whose history stretches back to the beginning of the 19th century.
