Dear ann, thank you for your kind letter. i am very pleased for a letter from you, and to know that you and your husband are well. today i am free and have time to write letters to my friends and relatives. my brother's children, three nice boys, are at school now and it is quiet in the house. the news from home are that i became a "grand-aunt" for my niece who got a baby now, a little daughter. her name is elizabeth, liz for short. she is a little darling and they are all very charmed with her. we are glad to have a baby in the family. my niece's husband is not in london. he got a nice house not far from edinburg and my sister's family is there with him. i made some little presents for my "grand- niece". how is your children? where is your son now? is he still abroad? he is married, is not he? did you get any grandchildren? please write to me as often as possible. i will be always glad to hear from you.
