Task 1. Read the text. Open the brackets and write the verbs correctly. The family is the most basic and ancient of all institutions, and it remains the fundamental social unit in every society. British and American families are small. In fact the populations of both Britain and the USA (1, to stop) growing. The typical family has a father, a mother and two children. Grandparents come to visit, but do not usually live with their children. Most people get married between the ages of 25 and 30.
