There are many beautiful cities in Ukraine, but what I like most is my grandfather's hometown, the city of Zaporizhia. I was born in it, there I met my friends, went to school. My grandfather still lives there. When we come to him, he often tells interesting stories about the city. And at school our teachers tell us about the glorious past of the Zaporizhia region.

Once upon a time, in ancient times, a small fortress appeared in the steppe. It was built by the Cossacks, who bravely defended their people from the Tatars. The war ended, the fortress turned first into a town and then into a big city. Now it has many avenues with beautiful houses, theatres and cinemas, a zoo, recreation parks.

In summer we often walk its neat streets. I really love this city

В Україні є багато гарних міст, але найбільше мені подобається рідне місто мого діда, місто Запоріжжя. Я в ньому народився, там зустрів друзів, пішов до школи. Там досі живе мій дід. Коли ми приходимо до нього, він часто розповідає цікаві історії про місто. А в школі наші вчителі розповідають про славне минуле Запорізького краю.

Колись давно, в давнину, в степу з’явилася невелика фортеця. Його збудували козаки, які мужньо захищали свій народ від татар. Війна закінчилася, фортеця перетворилася спочатку на містечко, а потім на велике місто. Зараз тут багато проспектів з красивими будинками, театрами і кінотеатрами, зоопарк, парки відпочинку.

Улітку ми часто гуляємо його охайними вуличками. Я дуже люблю це місто.
