Wild hippos live in central Africa. They are big and thick. They have small eyes, small ears and short legs. They also have very large teeth. Hippos often sleep in the water during the day. They usually come out of the water at night and eat. They only eat plants. They can eat up to 40 kg of grass, and sometimes they travel up to 10 km in search of food. Hippos are very dangerous.
