Yesterday was one of the best days of Charlotte’s life. She had a lovely night’s sleep and woke up feeling wonderful. After she had eaten a delicious breakfast she opened her e-mail and discovered she had won $100 in a crossword competition. She had been doing crosswords for years but she never entered a competition before. Then she went to work and started typing letters for her boss. She was working when she received a phone call from a strange man who said he had been trying to contact her for several days. He was a lawyer who told her that her great uncle, whom she had never met, died and left her $500,000 in his will! ​
