задай к существительному вопрос, пример:

1 склонение - папа. нету ( кого? ) папы - родительный падеж.

2 склонение - солнце. нету ( чего? ) солнца - родительный падеж.

3 склонение - рожь. нету ( чего? ) ржи - родительный падеж.
