Robin Hood was a famous character from an English legend. There were
many different stories about him,
but no one 1) if he was real or not.
In the stories, Robin lived in
Sherwood Forest near the city of
Nottingham. He became the leader
of a group called the Merry Men.
They fought against the king's
brother, Prince John, and the evil
Sheriff of Nottingham while the king
was away at war. They stole money
from the rich and gave it to the poor.
Robin Hood was a hero to the
people. He was clever, honest, and
loyal to the real king. He was also a
brilliant archer.
