Yaroslavl is a large city of the Golden Ring. Located on the Volga River.

This city was founded by Yaroslav the Wise. In the center of the city there is a monument to Fyodor Grigorievich Volkov. This man created the first theater in Russia in Yaroslavl. That is why Yaroslavl is called the birthplace of the Russian theater. Yaroslavl is traditionally considered one of the main objects of the Golden Ring.
