They tell us to buy the next must-have thing and so we often buy things we do not need. What is more, adverts can make people feel unhappy with their lives. Adverts often show us images of a life that no one can achieve. So, our ordinary lives do not satisfy us.

B Advertising has become part of our everyday lives. Some people think adverts give people important information about their purchases while others think they encourage people to keep buying things. So, what are the advantages and disadvantages of advertising?

C To sum up, advertising has both advantages and disadvantages. It gives us lots of information which helps us make decisions, but it also makes us spend money on things we do not need.

D Advertising certainly has some advantages. Firstly, adverts can give people valuable facts. It is a convenient way to learn about products that are available. Secondly, adverts can help people make choices, as we can compare different things by watching or reading adverts.
