Rybinsk - the old town, part of the golden ring russia, located at the confluence sheksna rivers and bird cherry, in the upper volga. rybinsk, just 80 km from the yaroslavl, 300 kilometers from moscow. it is the capital of the volga boatmen. b the first half of the xix century rybinsk region of bread and received a large shipping development, which in its scope could be compared with odessa or chicago. all this could not dispense with the boatmen - they had to be transported by ship lower volga up to the rybinsk (sometimes in the city accounted for more than 130,000 workers). the most interesting places in town almost all sights located in rybinsk the historic center of the city and its district. its journey the city should begin with rybinsk bridge - the most beautiful and largest of the bridges the volga, stretching 720 m. enjoy views of the the river and the city, climb down the st. maxim gorky - to spaso cathedral of the transfiguration - pearl rybinsk, which could be seen even from the bridge. the cathedral was built in the xviii century, and today it amazes architecture and interior decoration: tiled granite slabs and walls decorated with a white marble. рыбинск – старинный город, входящий в золотое кольцо россии, расположенный у слияния рек шексны и черемухи, в верховье волги. рыбинск всего в 80 км от ярославля и в 300 км к от москвы. это столица бурлаков на волге. в первой половине xix века в рыбинском крае торговля хлебом и судоходство получили большое развитие, которые по размаху можно было сравнить с одессой или чикаго. все это не могло обходиться без бурлаков – им приходилось доставлять судно от низовья волги до самого рыбинска (порой в город приходило более 130 тысяч рабочих). самые интересные места в городе почти все достопримечательности рыбинска расположены в центре города и его округе. свое путешествие по городу следует начать с рыбинского моста – самого красивого и крупнейшего из мостов через волгу, протяженностью 720 метров. насладившись видом на реку и город, спускаемся вниз по ул. максима горького – к спасо- преображенскому собору - жемчужине рыбинска, которую можно было заметить еще с моста. собор был построен в xviii веке, и сегодня он поражает своей архитектурой и внутренним убранством: пол выложен гранитными плитами, а стены отделаны под белый мрамор.
