football is a team sport. there are two teams with 11 players in each one. during the match the players run on a football pitch. their objective is to get as many points as possible by hitting a ball into a competitor's goal. the goal is protected by goalkeeper, who is the only player allowed to play the ball with his hands. the match consists of two halves of 45 minutes each and a 15-minute break. the winner is the team that scores the most goals.
