Galileo galilei was born on 15 february 1564 in pisa, italy. his father was the musician vincenzo galilei. there were 6 children in the family and galileo was the eldest. at the age of 17 galileo galilei entered the university of pisa where he studied medicine. later he he began to teach mathematics, astronomy and mechanics at the university of padua. he was interested in mathematics, astronomy and mechanics.it is also known that galileo worked on improvement of design of the telescope and invented different implements . he considered that theory of heliocentrism was right and most of astronomers did not agree with his opinion. as the saying goes galileo galilei said the famous phrase “and yet it moves” when he recanted his belief that the earth moves around the sun. he wrote a lot of scientific books including two new sciences which became his final book. galileo galilei died at the age of 77 in 1642. перевод: галилео галилей родился 15 февраля 1564 в пизе, италия. его отец был музыкантом.в семье было 6 детей. галилео был старшим. в возрасте 17 лет галилео галилей поступил в университет пизы, где он изучал медицину. позже он стал преподавать в университете в падуи.он интересовался , астрономией и механикой. известно, что галилео работал над улучшением конструкции телескопа и изобрел различные приспособления. он считал, что теория гелиоцентризма была правильная, но большинство астрономов не согласились с его мнением. галилео галилей сказал знаменитую фразу "и все-таки она вертится", когда он отказался от своей веры, что земля движется вокруг солнца. он написал много научных книг. галилео галилей умер в возрасте 77 лет в 1642 году.
