Victory Day is a holiday that connects all generations. Many years have passed since the devastating war that divided the world into "before" and "after". It is said that the war continues until the last soldier is buried.

There is nothing more exciting than the day when gray-haired participants of the Great Patriotic War walk the streets. Their backs are sometimes bent from old age and disease. It is increasingly difficult for them to carry equal columns of invariably brilliant orders and medals. But they are not used to giving up. These are the winners. The pride of the country.

Despite the fact that every year they become less and less, they seek to pass on to descendants the truth about the terrible, destructive war that took millions of lives. They are a living proof that our people cannot be intimidated, broken, enslaved. Glory to those who defend in bloody battles for freedom and independence of our Motherland!

Victory Day One of the most remarkable public events in my country is the Victory Day. It is traditionally celebrated on the 9th of May. This patriotic holiday commemorates the victory of the USSR over the Nazi Germany. Every year in honour of this day in all cities across the country lots of cheerful parades and celebrations are held. Despite the fact that the holiday is celebrated in a flamboyant way, May 9 is a sad day for the majority of our population. Many people have lost their loved ones and close relatives during this ruthless war. From one hand everyone is happy that the country wasn’t occupied by the fascist invaders, from the other hand everyone grieves over their loss. On this day we are grateful to our saviors, to those who sacrificed their lives for us. That’s why we try to celebrate this day with honours. Some part of younger generation doesn’t understand the importance of this event, which I think is disrespectful. In my opinion, the Victory Day is one of the greatest holidays during the year. Some of my ancestors also took part in the Great Patriotic War of 1945.  ИЛИ

In Russia and other countries Victory Day, or the 9th of May, is one of the great holidays of the year. It is the holiday of all people.

In all the towns there are decorations, flags, and slogans in the streets, in the shop windows and on the front of large buildings.

On Victory Day morning there are meetings and demonstrations of the veterans who fought in the Great Patriotic War.

On that day there usually is a military parade in all big cities of our country.

There are a lot of people in the streets and squares, at theatres, cinemas and concert halls. They are all celebrating their holiday. Many people go to see their friends or go for walks in the parks or forests.

Убольшинства из нас - обычная жизнь. мы встаем в определенное время, проводим часы в школе или на работе и возвращаемся домой в одно и то же время каждый вечер. в эксцентричной книге на , генри хемминг смотрит на необычных людей с разными жизнями   со стороны/с нашей стороны. опираясь на хемминга, ексцентричные люди не сумасшедшие; они видят мир не так как мы, ведут их личные расписания дня и не беспокоятся  о мнении других людей о них.в своей книге, хемминг рассматривает национальную традицию  ексцентриков и встречает много разных ексцентричных людей. он брал интервью у профессионального боксера, который был в аристократической одежде, у изобретателей приключений, у успешных модных дизайнеров и у известных рок музыкантов. хемминг считает людей как том леппард - леопардовый мальчик. 92 процента его тела татуировано. том живет один на красивом, ветреном шотландском острове в домике. ему не нужны часы,  потому что у него нет никаких обязательств. он просыпается и ложится спать когда ему захочется.  'я могу делать что я хочу и где я хочу, ' он говорит. 'и это рай.'  в обычный/любой день том кормит рыб или идет плавать в море. каждык две недели он едет в город на своем каяке/лодке.  он отправляется в банк, покупает еду и потм возвращается обратно домой. том - отшельник  ' но я никогда не остаюсь здесь один' он говорит.любимый ексцентрик хемминга это дружелюбный джон росвел, прозванный королем артуром, в честь британского короля, правившего в шестом веке.'король артур' не работает и не имеет никагого заятия для обычного дня. он ездит по британии на мотоцикле и участвует в походах для сохранения монументов и деревьев.  'iу меня нет дома, 'говорит артур. 'я никогда не сплю двух ночей в одной кровати.
