I, like all people, celebrate holidays with my family and love to do it. Our favorite family holiday is the New Year. This is when we all get together and have fun until the morning. Mom prepares salads and opens champagne. Dad and I paint a Christmas tree and decorate the whole apartment. We watch New Year's TV channels and also produce fireworks! Sometimes we walk around the square where other families gather. It is impossible to love the new year! This is the best family holiday and I adore it!

Christmas is the first and the most widely known family holiday all over the world. Though there are different dates for its celebration because of some religious views, it does not change the way it is celebrated in many countries. The whole family gathers in one place around the table and welcomes the birth of the Christ. They sing songs, discuss some topics, eat and drink. It is also a great tradition to give presents for this holiday, as children adore finding them in red stockings over the fireplace or under the fir-tree. Different countries serve different food for this holiday. The Americans cook turkey with vegetables, the Germans bake sweet Christmas biscuits, while the Eastern European countries have their own customs and traditions. We are used to cooking twelve dishes, the main one is kutya, sit at the table with the appearance of the first star in the sky and congratulate others singing carols. It is one of the most important days of the year, so everyone is always looking forward to it.

Hi,max! you won't believe but i have been staying in paris for a week with my family. i have already seen the eiffel tower and many other attractions such as the great tower of the very famous louvre museum and the same museum of art. yesterday i visited disneyland and saw everything by my own eyes. tomorrow we are going to the notre dame cathedral and the great versailles palace, and, tonight,maybe, if we have time we'll go to the most beautiful garden in the world - albert kahn. the weather is beautiful, it's sunny and warm. i took a lot of photos and i'd like to show them to you.see you! yours,vitas
