1) he opens a window and sees that it's already spring. only now he realizises, that he's very old and spring goes by him. 2) in winter in bitter cold he usually heats his house, sits near a window and starts to look over old photos and letters of his son. 3) now he's barely walking. legs fall more and more into snow; wind becomes stronger and stronger, and he seems to lose all power in two steps. 4) she catches up with me, grabs my hand and shouts: "i don't want us to break down, let try to fix it". 5) she likes to walk on a shore of a sea, she approaches water, takes the long view, imagines that she's a seagull and is flying there, to the horizon, further and further from this cursed(damn) shore.
