ответ:The Amazon river is the largest river in the world, located in South America. Formed by the confluence of the rivers marañón and Ucayali. The length of the Amazon is a debatable issue in the scientific community and according to various measurements is: from the source of the maragnon river — about 6400 km[1], from the source of the Apachet river-6992 km[2], from the source of the Ukayali-about 7100 km[1]. The Amazon, with its longest source, claims, along with the Nile, the status of the longest watercourse in the world, and is also the world's largest river in terms of basin area and fullness. The annual flow of the river is 6937.92 km3, which means that it carries about 19 km3 of water per day.

The area of the basin, including the Tocantins inflow, is 7180 thousand km2[1]. This significantly exceeds the basin of the Uruguay and Parana rivers together (4140 thousand km2) and the Congo (about 3700 thousand km2).

In 2011, according to the results of the world competition, the Amazon was recognized as one of the seven natural wonders of the world[3].

Most of the Amazon basin belongs to Brazil, while the southwestern and Western regions belong to Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia. Flowing mostly along the Amazon lowland in a sub-latitude direction near the equator, the Amazon flows into the Atlantic ocean, forming one of the largest deltas in the world (with an area of over 100 thousand km2 and including one of the world's largest river Islands — Marajo).

The Amazon is fed by numerous tributaries; about 20 of them are more than 1,500 km long
