Хоббиты жили не в домах,а в норах. один хоббит жил в горной норе. это не была плохая,некомфортная нора,в которой было не на чем посидеть или нечего поесть. это была нора хоббита,а хоббит любил комфорт. у норы была круглая дверь,которая открывалась в комнату,похожую на туннель: комната была удобной. на полу лежали коврики,стояли удобные стулья; в комнате было место для шляп и курток. было и множество маленьких дверей,но не было ступенек: спальни,ванные комнаты,гардеробы (у него были целые комнаты для одежды),кухни,столовые -- все они были на одном этаже. лучшие комнаты были слева,и только у них были окна.
