Biography of evgeny plushenko evgeny viktorovich plushenko (1982) – russian figure skater, honored master of sports, world champion, olympic champion. eugene was born november 3, 1982 in city solar, khabarovsk territory. at the age of four in the biography of eugene plushenko was moved to volgograd. it was there that eugene began to engage in figure skating. to be able to train further, he moved to st. petersburg. there he continued to hone his figure skating skills at the sports school. after graduating from secondary school he entered the university of physical culture named after lesgaft, who graduated in 2005. then in the biography of plushenko was followed by training in engineering-economic university saint-petersburg. the first big sports victory of plushenko took place in the 1996-1997 season. then he became the first in the world junior championship. the next season he took the third place in the world championship and the russian championship, the second – in the european championship. for the first time in his biography evgeny plushenko became world champion in 2001. then he repeated the result twice more (in 2003, 2004). five times skater won the european championship. has many awards, titles, prizes. during his career he won 52 gold medals. evgeny plushenko performed with dima bilan at the eurovision song contest in 2008. plushenko is also an active public figure and is a member of the legislative assembly of st. petersburg.
