Вот не   snowdrop(белоснежка) подойдёт? ?   есть ещё   the old genie hottabych (старик хоттабыч), но это уже сложнее читается, много незнакомых слов.

Having returned from classes, i decided to get out, because the room was a mess. the phone suddenly rang, it was my friend, we decided to gossip and i completely forgot about the mess. after returning, i got the suitcase, and saw many old and tasteless things. my old watch and clothes. i tried to wind the watch, but to no avail. took my old sweater, it has started to spin wool. saw my old dress, my mother always said that it is terrible, although i really liked it, tastes differ i told her. i have always believed that as a child, i was dressed with taste.
