Astana is located in the center of kazakhstan in the dry steppe zone, the subzone of dry fescue-feather grass steppes. the territory of the city is a low terrace above the floodplain. the yesil river is the main water artery of the capital. the climate is sharply continental - cold and prolonged winter and hot, moderately arid summer. the city has become one of the largest business centers in kazakhstan. business culture is dynamically developing - in astana there are more than 128 thousand subjects of small and medium business.
