When the band got together, they were not worried about being compared to any other bands. it did not matter to them because even then they were making music which was very different from anyone else's. they all like different types of music, however. when mark was growing up in france, he liked to listen to rock music like the police and u2. paul grew up in spain. when he was learning to play the guitar, he used to listen to bands like metallica and led zeppelin. since becoming part of the band, they have been able to meet some of their heroes. anna met sting at a party but admits she could not think of a single thing to say to him!
