(хотя здесь может быть и: even if i had seen her at the party i could have done nothing for you.) 4. don't you think it will be very much for the better if you and i both keep quiet? 5. if anyone asked me what his specific gift was, i wouldn`t know how to answer. 6. she said she had been pleased if my mother would have allowed me to spend a month with them. 7. mary is staying with them. i think it will be a good thing if you come and see her.
