2.people used to have many childrens because some of rich barins had 2 or 3 wifes. 3.people used to write letters as they didn't have the internet. 4.people used to wash clothes by hand because they didn't have the washmachines. 5.people used to dance at balls as they didn't have any disco buildings. 6.people used to see very few cars in the streets as just the rich people could buy it. 7.people used to have servants as (придумай сам). 8.people used to light their houses with gas as they didn't have an electricity.
