Перевести текст the great fire of london london in the middle of the seventeenth centure was a city of narrow dirty streets. indeed the streets were so narrow that it was often possible for a person at the window at one side of the street to shake hands with a neighbor in the house across the street. there was little light and air in london's streets. so that it is not strange that the great epidemic of the plague began in 1665. it was a sad time for london. there were no people in the streets, shops were closed and there were few boats on the thames. every house in which there were sick people was shut up and nobody was allowea to go in or out. the doors of such houses were marked with red marks. the following year the great fire took place. it began late on saturday noght in a street not far from london bridge. the summer of that year was dry, a hot wind was blowing and the fire spread very quickly. the fire was going on for 5 days and destroyed the greater part of the city.

Великий лондонский . в середине семнадцатого века лондон представлял собой город с узкими грязными улочками. и в самом деле,улицы были настолько узкими,что человек из окна дома на одной стороне улицы мог запросто обменяться с соседом в доме на противоположной стороне. улицам лондона недоставало света и чистого воздуха. и потому неудивительно,что в 1665 году в городе началась эпидемия чумы. для лондона это было печальное время. на улицах не было людей,магазины были закрыты,а на темзе стояли лишь несколько лодок. каждый дом,где были больные,закрывался: никому нельзя было ни войти,ни выйти. двери таких жилищ помечали красными крестами. а в следующем году произошёл великий . начался он поздней субботней ночью на улице неподалёку от лондонского моста. лето в том году было сухим,дул жаркий ветер и огонь распространялся быстро. длился 5 дней и уничтожил большую часть города.
