The majority of foreign tourists in the first place are rushing to see moscow and st petersburg. and rightly so, moscow is the centre of historical monuments and cultural sites. business card of the capital — the moscow kremlin. of course, no tourist will pass by the red square, cathedral of christ the saviour, tretyakov gallery and bolshoi theatre. if you are visiting for a short while, will have to choose whether to do moscow to see the magnificent monasteries, ancient manor or the museum's collection, stroll along arbat street or visit stalin's skyscrapers, but not to attend a ballet performance is inexcusable, even if you stopped in moscow for a couple of days. a real treasure for curious tourists and st petersburg is one of the most beautiful cities of russia, the undisputed pride of the russians. will not leave anyone indifferent palace square and the hermitage treasures, the delightful promenades of the city and a ceremony of divorce of bridges. each of the charming saint-petersburg suburbs — the reason for our day trips. the world famous palace and park ensemble of peterhof, is not inferior to versailles in beauty and grandeur, and in tsarskoye selo you can admire the restored amber room, lost during the second world war. большинство иностранных гостей в первую очередь спешат увидеть москву и санкт-петербург. и это правильно,  москва  — средоточие памятников и культурных объектов. визитная карточка столицы  —  московский кремль. конечно, ни один турист не пройдет и мимо красной площади, храма христа спасителя, третьяковской галереи и  большого театра. если вы приехали ненадолго, придется выбирать, успеть ли увидеть величественные московские монастыри, старинные усадьбы или  музейные коллекции, прогуляться по  арбату  или осмотреть сталинские высотки, но не побывать на представлении  — непростительно, даже если вы заехали в москву всего на пару дней.неисчерпаем для любознательного туриста и  санкт-петербург  — один из красивейших городов россии, безусловный предмет гордости россиян. никого не оставят равнодушными дворцовая площадь и сокровищаэрмитажа, восхитительные набережные города и церемония развода мостов. каждый из очаровательных санкт-петербургских пригородов  — повод для экскурсии на целый день. всемирную известность приобрел дворцово-парковый ансамбль  петергофа, не уступающий версалю по красоте и величию, а в царском селе можно полюбоваться восстановленной янтарной комнатой, утерянной во время второй мировой войны.

Dear alex, thanks for your last letter. i'm sorry i haven't answered earlier but i was really busy with my school. as you know my native county is russia. my home city is moscow. moscow is the heart of our country. people in my city are helpful and friendly. there are a lot of places of interest in moscow. it is a very modern and civilized city. there are also many cars , tall buildings, shopping centeres in moscow. my town is very beautiful and it is comfortable to live here. i invite you to visit my home town ! i am sure , you will get unforgettable impressions! alex,and what about you ? write me about your town (city ). i've got to go now because my dad asked me to help him in the garage. write back soon! best wishes, mark
