Peter i ruled the tsardom of russia and later the russian empire from 7 may until his death, jointly ruling before 1696 with his half-brother. through a number of successful wars he expanded the tsardom into a much larger empire that became a major european power. he led a cultural revolution that replaced some of the traditionalist and medieval social and political systems with ones that were modern, scientific, westernized, and based on the enlightenment. peter's reforms made a lasting impact on russia and many institutions of russian government traced their origins to his reign. вот как-то так

Peter the first was born on the 30th of may 1672 not far from moscow. he got the education at home. from early age he was very fond of sciences. he liked to learn foreign languages. he knew german, english and french languages perfectly. he had a strong health and his memory was very good. also, he liked to learn different crafts, such as joinery, turnery, blacksmith craft. he "opened the window in europe", made people in russia to study from foreigners, to learn their sciences and crafts, such as ship building. he did a lot for russia and always will the for us one of the most popular tzars.
