Elephants are very big animals. they live in india and in africa. they weigh about 6 -7 tons. (baby elephant weighs about 1 ton). elephants are grey. they have very big ears, and small eyes. they are clever enough. they eat grass and leaves. they prefer to stay near water. (elephants drink about 190 litres of water every day). they can swim very well. they live about  50-60 years. слоны большие животные. они живут в индии и в африке. они весят около 6-7 тонн. (слоненок весит около 1 тонны). cлоны серые. у них большие уши и маленькие глаза. они достаточно умны. они едят траву и листья. они предпочитают находиться около воды. (выпивают в день до 190 литров воды). слоны умеют хорошо плавать. они живут около 50-60 лет.

John was about to leave the classroom when he saw a book on the floor. he opened it and saw pictures of mountains and rocks.he didn't know whose book it was. at that moment, ken rushed into the classroom: “i have lost my book somewhere here! ” “here it is,” john said, “but what’s it about? ”“it’s the most interesting book about mountains i’ve ever seen”, ken was happy to get his book back.“it was written by a mountain climber a year ago.he wrote about how he and three other men went to the alps to climb.you can borrow this book for a while if you want. i have read it anyway.”judy was afraid of the dark. at night she always left the lights on. judy couldn’t explain what exactly she was afraid of. she didn't beleive in monsters or in ghosts. she was one of those rare girls who never screamed when she saw spiders, mice and frogs. but everyone in her family knew that a dark room was the worst of her fears. one day, when judy was drawing something in her room, her mother came in holding a big shopping bag.  “guess what i have bought,” she said to judy.“i have no idea. is it for me? ” judy felt very curious about the bag.her mother pulled two packages from her shopping bag. in the first package there were some very nice slippers. they were made from soft, pink fabric and had bright flashing lights. inside the second package were glow-in-the-dark pyjamas! judy said she wanted to try them on immediately. amazingly, she felt safe all through the night. in a few days the lights stopped flashing but judy realised she didn’t feel afraid of the dark any more.
