On 11 through 19 July, 1998 the World Youth Games were held in Moscow, the capital of Russia. They were attended by more than 7,000 young athletes. The emblem was o: a boy and a girl holding hands and running together. The programme of the Games consisted of sports events and cultural programme. The sports programme included fifteen most popular sports. The Games also provided cultural events. The cultural programme was interesting for both the sportsmen and the guests of the Games.
С 11-ого до 19-ое июля 1998 года в Москве, столице России, проходили Всемирные Юношеские Игры. Там были более 7000 молодых атлетов. Эмблемой стали мальчик и девочка, держащиеся за руки и бегущие вместе. Программа Игр состояла из спортивных событий и культурной программы. Спортивные мероприятия включали 15 самых популярных видов спорта. На играх также были культурные мероприятия. Культурная программа была одинаково интересна и спортсменами и гостям Игр.
